Watching the room come together, this buffet was the point when the open dining area finally started to feel finished. I was looking for a change I would notice every day, and this has been exactly that. It gave the dining area a proper focal point. So far it has been the rare purchase that looks good and also fits the way the room is actually used. I would happily choose it again for the same space.

We use the open dining area constantly, and this buffet fits that real-life rhythm better than I expected. Nothing about it feels fussy in day-to-day use. It adds presence without taking over the room. It has already been part of a few ordinary days and a couple of times when friends came over. I can see this staying in the room even if we change some of the surrounding pieces later. It turned out to be exactly the kind of update we needed.
