Within our bedroom, instead of changing everything in the room, I added the bedside table, and that was enough. It has become part of the bedroom routine without drawing too much attention.

I usually need time to warm up to new furniture, but the piece made sense in the primary bedroom right away. The room feels calmer at the beginning and end of the day. It is distinct enough to notice and quiet enough to live with. The look has a little more visual presence than I pictured, but it ended up working for the room.

For our bedroom, the piece turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. The room feels calmer when I walk in at the end of the day. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in. Our bedroom feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.
