Looking at our dining area now, this piece works just as well for a quiet evening as it does when the house is busy. The best part for me is that our dining area still feels relaxed even with this piece giving it more structure. The dining area feels more inviting whether it is a quick weekday meal or a longer dinner. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our dining area needed.

The scale of the room feels better to my eye now that this table is part of the arrangement. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
