The rest of the family room finally makes more sense around the piece. I was hoping the piece would pull the family room together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. I can change smaller things around the piece without feeling like the whole plan for the family room has to change. It fits the way we actually use the room. I notice it without feeling like the whole room revolves around it. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.

As part of my sitting area, the rest of the room finally makes more sense around this piece. It stands out just enough and still lets the rest of the room do its job. I was hoping this piece would pull my sitting area together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. The overall effect in my sitting area is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. I wanted the room to feel finished without feeling formal, and this gets very close to that balance. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.
