With the smaller details kept simple, the space feels much more pulled together now, and this piece is a big reason why. I notice it without feeling like the whole room revolves around it. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.

My partner was less sure about this sofa than I was, but now we both agree it works in our family room.

There is a more finished rhythm to the family room now, and this seating piece anchors it nicely. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole. The whole sitting area feels more relaxed and complete. I was aiming for a more intentional room without a full redesign, and nothing around it had to change. I would make the same decision for the family room again.
