The Gianna chair pairs an exposed wood frame with an upholstered tight seat and back.
With a keen eye for upholstery design and an extraordinary talent for layering textiles and creating frame and fabric correlations, Barclay Butera developed a remarkable assortment of custom upholstery for the Newport and Brentwood collections.
The frame designs work with the styling of either collection.
Barclay also has a keen eye for exceptional tailoring.
These silhouettes showcase the bench-made talents of highly-experienced artisans in North Carolina.
Special combinations, selected by Barclay, are noted with a suffix AA, BB, CC or DD.
Upholstered seating pulls the look of a room together while offering an elegant canvas for personal self-expression.

Against what we already had, I notice the room more than the individual piece now, which is exactly the effect I wanted.

A few weeks in, this piece still feels like the right decision for the reading corner. I like that this piece works with what we already had in the reading corner instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.

From across our bedroom, the seat gives the arrangement a clearer sense of balance. I was aiming for a room with a little more structure and a little less visual noise, and the space finally feels finished. It has become part of the everyday rhythm of the space. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in our bedroom.
