I had been overthinking this part of our hallway; this piece solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. I like how this piece gives our hallway a clearer point of view without taking over. It brings a little more structure to the room without making the arrangement feel rigid. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. I am pleased with the decision and with how our hallway came together.

From across the hallway, this piece gives the arrangement a clearer sense of balance. It makes the entry into the room feel more considered. This piece is a choice I am happy to keep living with.

For the way we use my hallway, I like this most when the house is quiet and this room is just being used normally. Walking past it every day, I like the room more than I did before. I was aiming for something that would work with what we already owned, and it fits the house better than I expected. I am pleased with the decision and with how my hallway came together.
