In my entryway, I had been overthinking this part of the room; this piece solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole.

After moving, our entryway was the space that felt least complete, and the console table changed that. I am glad I did not choose something more ornate for this space. The best part for me is that our entryway still feels relaxed even with the console table giving it more structure. The space feels calmer in the normal flow of the house. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our entryway needed.
