The scale of the room feels better to my eye now that the credenza is part of the arrangement. I like that the credenza works with what we already had in our dining area instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated. I was aiming for a room that felt collected over time rather than decorated all at once. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our dining area needed.

Even when the room is not perfectly tidy, the piece still makes the overall space feel intentional. I was aiming for a more intentional room without a full redesign, and this got us much closer to it. The piece is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
