Friday guest prep made me realize this pendant light had already become part of the dining area. I needed a few days to get used to the room with it there, but that hesitation passed quickly.

Our dining area made the most sense once we hosted a small gathering; the room felt ready without extra styling. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled. It works with the rest of the room instead of competing with it.

Friday relaxed guest prep is when this pendant light feels most at home in the breakfast area. It works just as naturally on a rushed weekday as it does when we have people over.

One of the best signs that this pendant light fits our room is that our kids kept saying the room finally felt finished.
